We have a new position available at City Seed at the station.

Sales Floor Team Member (Part-Time)

Are you someone who loves plants and people? Is City Seed one of your favorite places in Anderson? We’re hiring for a part-time team member who brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a flexible, can-do attitude.

Hours Needed:

• 2-3 shifts per week (15-20 hours/week base)M

• Must have afternoon availability

• Wednesdays required

• More shifts may be available during busier seasons or if you’re available to flex.

What We’re Looking For:

• Self-starter with a can-do attitude

• Able to take initiative and work independently

• Dependable and punctual

• Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs (soil, fertilizer, etc.)

• Plant knowledge is a must - we’re known for our customer service dealing with outside and inside plants

• If you’re a college student, you must be available across three full seasons: fall, winter, and spring. Full availiablity is rquired in our busiest months - December, April, and May.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and assist customers

• Run checkout using Square

• Help match customers with right plants, pots, and gifts

• Water, monitor, and care for plant inventory

• Support general shop upkeep and cleanliness

• Restock and merchandise new arrivals

• Occasionally assist with our Make n’ Take classes (adult + kids)

A Quick Note:

We took a community-first stance during COVID-19 and required masks for an extended time. While we hope that won’t be necessary again, our team must be willing to follow public health guidance if needed.
