Prepping Garden Beds for Spring — Saturday, March 7
Prepping Garden Beds for Spring — Saturday, March 7
Getting your garden ready for spring is about more than turning the soil — it’s about understanding what your garden needs and making smart, simple choices that support healthy growth all season long.
Join us for this educational session led by Nancy Witcher, Master Gardener and longtime City Seed team member, as we walk through how to prepare garden beds for spring planting, how to use soil test results, and how to time amendments for the best results in Upstate gardens.
This session connects directly to our February Soil Testing class, but you do not need to have attended that session to join.
What we’ll cover:
• How to prep garden beds for spring planting
• How and when to amend your soil
• Translating soil test results into real-world action
• Timing reminders for Upstate gardens
• How to set yourself up for success (not perfection)
Participants will also receive a small take-home soil amendment (such as earthworm castings or a similar product, based on availability) to help put what you learn into practice.
☕ Petrichor Coffee will be on-site from 8:30 AM–12:00 PM if you’d like to grab a cup before or after the session.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• This is an educational session
