Big Kids: Beetle Bonanza | Tuesday, July 14 | 9:00–11:00 AM
Become a young naturalist for the morning as we explore the fascinating world of beetles and the important role insects play in healthy ecosystems.
We'll read selections from Beetle Is Shy, learn about beetle habitats, enjoy a themed snack, and create our own Beetle Hotel using natural materials. Children are encouraged to bring a few found nature items from home such as sticks, pinecones, bark, seed pods, or other woodland treasures to personalize their project.
Together we'll discover how beetles and other beneficial insects help our gardens and create a safe habitat they can use long after the workshop ends.
